Psychic attack is a reality however it is also a rare event more likely to occur to those in alters states such as having recently taken alcohol.

Thankfully most attacks are no more than lower energy beings amusing themselves,  thankfully the Psychic attack can normally be stopped by asking them to leave.

Of the few occasions I have seen psychic attack return it is generally a subconscious desire of the person effected seeking attention which overrides the normal code of conduct to leave you alone should your request it. However nothing is a certainty so there are always the odd exception to the rule.
