No, your right all healers & Psychics have the same problem hence The American Association of Healers & The American Association of Psychics was created to cover the 50 states covering all holistic and metaphysical services.
Can only Psychics join the Psychic directory?
No, the term Psychic is the general term the public would use for anyone that is intuitive whether they are tarot readers, astrologers, medium etc, likewise healers could be reiki, energy workers, chiropractors, crystal healers and crystal suppliers etc. We even have holistic magazines & stores, authors, retreats and spas, so the categories are very diverse to suit people's tastes.
Rosemary why did you decide to make these organizations online?
Both organizations are online as the theory is to keep two directories that are always up to date, something we could not achieve in print.
A second consideration is a printed booklet would prove to be very expensive for the members as print and distribution costs are high.
I have paid for too many annual print adverts only to move before the issue has been out for a year, therefore all my clients then had the wrong contact details and I had know way to inform them of my new details?
Explain how the directories work?
Each directory has the 50 states listed, therefore you only need to know the person you're looking for is a member and what state you met them in.
Once you select the State you have an A to Z selection, therefore if the person was a Psychic select P, all likely categories starting with P are listed, and you then select Psychic and scroll through the Psychics to find the one you're looking for. Needless to say you can also use the directory to find members you don't know in your area.
We shall be simplifying this by converting this to a drop down menu.
What information is listed?
You will find the members name, business name, address if they wish to list it, a 75 word bio & photo, their telephone number plus a direct link to their e-mail and their web site.
So what happens if the member has moved to another state?
Members have the facility to leave listings on other states they feel clients may look for them, so they can redirect them to their new contact details. This service is unique and particularly useful for clients that wish to find members that travel a lot or provide goods and services by telephone or by mail.
How does this differ from other directories?
Most directories expect you to know which town your member lives in, this makes little sense as people move.
Your structure to find members makes a lot of sense?
Thank you, I found that other directories were so poorly structured a search for a Colorado Psychics would just as likely list a gardener in CA as a Psychic in CO, the members were poorly categorized and were not specific to healers or Psychics; This was one of the reasons we split healers & Psychics in to two directories , so it would be easier for people to get more accurate information.

I travel all over the country promoting the associations. New members can join for as little as $125, with only $25 for listings in other states.
As members update their business cards promoting their membership, everyone in the associations benefit from the snowball effect of all the additional advertising created by each member.
What is your long term goal?
At 1000 members we shall arrange an annual retreat in the Rocky Mountains so our members can recharge and regroup and having a chance to share their experiences and skills with other members. At 5000 members we shall build a Healing Center in Estes Park, CO for the benefit of both the general public and all our members.
